Lift Off Ladies

“If you want to lift up humanity, empower women. It is the most comprehensive, pervasive, high-leverage investment you can make in human beings.” – Melinda Gates, The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World

I love this book. It was the first book of the season I borrowed from a Free Little Library. Her style is inspired, easy to read with practical advice you can immediately put into action.

Melinda Gates, philanthropist and co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. Through her work, she has dedicated herself to creating opportunities for women and girls around the world to access education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

Gates has been a vocal advocate for expanding access to family planning and reproductive health services, recognizing that when women have control over their bodies and their reproductive choices, they are better able to pursue their education, careers, and personal goals. She has also championed initiatives to promote gender equality in the workplace and to empower women entrepreneurs and business owners.

In addition, Gates has been a strong supporter of initiatives to address global poverty and inequality, recognizing that women and girls are often disproportionately affected by these issues. Through her philanthropic work, she has supported programs to promote access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for women and girls in some of the world’s poorest communities.

Overall, Melinda Gates has been a powerful voice for women’s empowerment, using her platform and resources to create positive change for women and girls around the world. Her dedication and leadership serve as an inspiration for others to join the movement towards gender equality and social justice.

PS – She is going to be a grandma – which I love!
